Description
This class covers very basic, totally non-technical information that applies to all digital cameras. From amateur to semi-pro this is useful information.
Topics include:
Formatting the memory card
How the format function is different than the delete or erase functions in a very important way!
|
Picture size and compression
This will determine resolution and how many pictures the camera can put on the card. Are you just shooting for eBay or Craigslist or are you making an art poster?
Full auto (green mode) vs. program and other modes
When automatic prevents you from getting a good picture!
Learning by experimenting!
A simple trick that will boost your self-confidence!
Focus and exposure hold (or lock)
This is one of the most important aids for good pictures and also probably the cause of most bad ones.
Flash do’s and don’ts - and when auto-flash makes the wrong choice
Automatic white balance
What is it? Why is it there? Why do I have a choice?
Are any of your pictures important?
Archiving - Will your children, grandchildren, or beyond appreciate them?
